Sun Valley weekend
Cliff and I went to Sun Valley, Idaho this past week. He had a Speech/Debate conference to attend and I had a couple of days of vacation time.
We stayed in Hailey and drove into Ketchum each day. I had some time to drive up to the Valley the last day we were there. I drove up the road to the Dollar Mt. lift and took these photos.
We had rain all day the first day we were there. but the next day was beautiful. There was snow on the top of the hills and the leaves were still changing at the bottom. The contrast of all the colors was really pretty. The low clouds on the hills added to the beauty of the whole thing.
This is also the weekend for the Trailing of the Sheep.
For the last 15 years they have brought the sheep down from their summer grazing and herd them down the streets of Ketchum and Hailey to their winter grazing. We never stay to watch. Just don't want to be there with the streets all blocked off and thousands of sheep everywhere.
These are just some other views I took while I was in Sun Valley up by the Dollar Mt. lift.

Halloween Jewelry
Here is some of my new Halloween Jewelry. It ranges from the macabre to the fun. The first 2 pieces I put on upcycled domino pieces.
The first picture is of a group of grim reapers in a waiting room. It is a black and white photo and I put a layer of resin over it to protect the image.
This image is a sepia toned image of an old Victorian photo of a couple posing for a portrait. The image has a "ghost" that appears to be floating behind them in the photo. This one is also on an upcycled domino playing piece.
These are just fun Halloween earrings. I put the candy corn images on an earring piece and added resin to protect them. I added matching colored beads to dangle from the bottom.
I made this necklace to match the earrings. It is a tiny dog tag with the candy corn image on the front. It is also covered with resin to protect it.
Halloween is my favorite holiday and I love decorating for it. Making jewelry to wear for the month of October is especially fun for me.
